They were overcooked, dry, and truly inedible. We placed our order just before closing, so there was no opportunity to have it fixed. For $50, I was completely dissatisfied, especially as a long-time Hilton member expecting higher quality from one of their hotels.
I had a wonderful meal and experience tonight at Lunalux. Steven was an attentive waiter who provided great recommendations. The food is served tapas-style, and we shared the Brussels sprouts, Greek salad, chicken skewers, and flatbread pizza. Everything was delicious and perfectly portioned for sharing. The chocolate flourless cake was fantastic, but the Limoncello tiramisu was a bit too rich with mascarpone cheese. The Lux-Gimlet was absolutely delicious, and the wine selection was simple yet beautiful. Overall, it was an excellent experience!
This restaurant is in its own league. Great food, good priced, packed with color and tasteful dishes. While we had only 2 meals from here, we were full every time and the portions seemed to overflow. Elina was an amazing waitress to make sure I had everything I needed since I took it back to our room. The first meal was a Hamburger and my wife had her Lamburger. But burgers were cooked for perfection with the correct amount of moisture and the rolls were cooked on the grill with a beautiful full of crabs. One of the best burgers I've ever had. And then there were some crafty hairs. Almost overflow the container. They tasted good, but I'm a BBQ guy, so I ate my Bbq sauce. I was so full after this meal that it was almost 10 hours later when we were dinner. For dinner we have their white pizza. There was a lot of food for us. Unlike other white pizzas I had before, this had spinach and grape tomatoes. How they cooked the spinach and tomatoes on a pizza and so full of color and taste is beyond me, all I know is that it was perfect. The hotel is located in the lobby of the Hilton Hotel. This restaurant is definitely worth visiting and some food from!
Tampa Restaurant Week Luna Lux Prix Fixe Menu $40 per person. The hotel is located in the Hilton Hotel opposite the lobby of the Luna Lux reception. There was no one to meet or to greet at both doors, so after I just walked around a table and sat. Service was warm, the room was very open with doors to a terrace and many natural lighting. 1st course was grilled Octopus, nicely boiled, well flavored with a touch of heat from Aji Amarillo. A good start for dinner. Next were the Roast Duck w/ Couscous and Rapini. The duck was juicy and tasty, the cousin paired very nice as the carburized Rapini. Lastly, the Limoncello Tiramisu was a delicious and interesting take on the traditional dessert. The lemon flavor bright and refreshing. A very nice dinner without mistake, both fill and satisfying.
My fiancé and I visited this restaurant for the special offerings during restaurant week. It’s a fantastic location within the Hilton, featuring some excellent specials that aren’t part of their regular menu (which they should definitely consider adding!). The ambiance is lovely, and it was pleasantly quiet during our weekend visit. Our server was attentive and accommodating, making our experience even more enjoyable. The food was served promptly and the portion sizes for the restaurant week special were quite generous. Everything we tried was delicious. I would highly recommend giving this place a visit!
