One of the four guests was trying the restaurant for the first time and was impressed with the food, particularly the salmon teriyaki which he described as excellent and perfectly cooked. The three other men are regulars at the restaurant and always enjoy their meals there. They appreciate that no matter what dish they choose, the food is consistently delicious and expertly prepared.
The experience was fine but the food was disappointing. The sushi did not taste fresh and the pad Thai was like soup. We were missing some items that they forgot to bring out and gave Us a credit for. It felt like opening week of a restaurant that’s been open for years. Not sure we’ll be returning.
The waiter appeared overwhelmed and we were seated in a separate back room away from the main restaurant, which was a bit disappointing. The food was decent, but the overall experience seemed overpriced.
Such a happy restaurant with good service and a mixed bag of people enjoying each other and the delicious food. Sake 23 is a perfect place for groups and also a perfect restaurant for a date. There are lots of different menu choices all easy to share. Tonight we had summer rolls very different from other Asian restaurants in that they serve them slightly warmed and their peanut sauce is the best. We also had pot stickers with two different sauces intertwined which we thoroughly enjoyed. We also had the Hawaiian roll and we would order it again hands down. It’s 21 miles one way from our home and well worth the drive
Food was excellent, very creative and presented well. We really enjoyed our visit and the food. We felt the service was exceptional and that our server was definitely above the norm. We were there for a birthday celebration and were delighted by our experience that evening.
