Eating was amazing and at the point when they were looking for frills or substitutions, they don't go. all foods are freshly prepared and the chef uses homemade family recipes. the best hidden gem in the john’s pass!
Absolutely delicious, every penny worth. her menu changes day by day and is recorded on a chalkboard when they run out, that's it. We have the crab maize cadder, the grouping cake, slightly fried scallops and the wrench cake. the aromen and the live music were phenomenal. (I have seen a lot of 1-star reviews on this Google page, it says right in front when they are a high maintenance or if they don't like seafood, it won't be great for them. no frills, no modifications, not be crazy about it, they have it right there on their shield.
These reviews crack me. I've been walking for many years. sue, the co-owner, is actually very nice. she can come as “snippy” or “rude”, but this is her personality. if you spoke to her, you would realize that she is not an rude person, and I'm sorry, I just don't think that many of these assessments mean that she taught people or would not sit people. you're lying. if they want some great seafood, they will stick to Waltz’s and have something to eat. if they are a snowflake and carry their feelings on their sleeves, please go elsewhere, preferably not even florida.
We meant to come here on a previous trip years ago and finally made it tonight. What a great experience. This is a very small restaurant with very fresh fish. Our steamed shrimp appetizer, grouper and scallops entrées and Keylime pie were all fabulous. We’ll be coming back. Suggestions: Be patient, it’s a small place and there’s going to be a wait. Better to go earlier than later. Fresh fish runs out and our 6 PM arrival was about right but you might be better to be there at 5:30. This would not be the place for finicky kids or anyone who doesn’t like fish. Because all they have is fish. And it’s very good!
