Terrific food, different, wonderful attention to detail and an interesting menu. Service was friendly and humorous, adding to the atmosphere. All the starters were delicious and I was delighted to be able to have an in season artichoke with a choice of fillings. This restaurant would encourage a second visit to the town.
We had a wonderful evening meal here a few days ago. The menu is really innovative, with several speciality artichoke dishes. The one I had included Asian spices, coconut milk, and crevettes in an artichoke the size of a football. The young chef had won competitions and as we left we were told they had just picked up their first Gault -Millau award. Can't wait to go back.
Extremely welcoming staff during Covid period. Great menu, warm, friendly staff and attention by owner. Prices extremely reasonable for good quality food and organic produce. Highly recommend.
High expectations after reviews on here - also virtually the only place open on a Monday evening. the place was clean and the staff welcoming. There were several French people there too. Not bad for a wet evening in October. My wife and I had a 20 euro set 3 course meal. The starter - artichoke 'tarte tatin' was nothing like a tarte tatin. More of a thin cake/pate served on artichoke leaves. My wife liked it, I didn't. I had a pork shank - hardly a premium cut so I expected it to be slow cooked in some sort of jus/gravy. It wasn't, it was tough dry and inedible. The other diners - presumably locals - were having crepes and/or salads and they looked good, and I think with the benefit of hindsight that's we should have had. 60 Euros with some wine was steep for a disappointing meal.
