The dishes were really not bad apart from the frogs which didn't convince anyone. Eating one evening in summer on the terrace is really not pleasant due to the pergola which keeps out the noise and especially the midges. And midges that invite themselves to your floating island... An experience like never before. We were warmly served right from the start and even had the honor of having a German-speaking waiter. The food was extremely delicate and there was nothing to complain about. There is no comparison between price and performance here. For our standards, it could have even been more expensive for a 5-course meal. We were looked after royally and it was clear that the guest is king. After discussions revealed that my wife was also a cook, the head chef even took the opportunity to give a short tour of the kitchen (unwritten rule: trained and active chefs are always allowed to ask for a tour; it was offered here). And what can I say, despite being very busy, the kitchen looked like it was being licked. Big compliment. To the entire team and leadership, keep it up. We'd love to come back when we're nearby. Restaurant very well located in the countryside very close to a castle which is worth visiting. Visited on a Sunday. Very nice restaurant (300 covers! The place is appreciated with the proximity of the Château de la Roche. Welcome very pleasant by a cohort of servers. The atmosphere is unfortunately noisy due to the number of taboos (including large groups). The entire room is not equipped with an acoustic ceiling. On the kitchen, prices are fairly high, in contradiction with the contents of the plate (in our case of course, the other menus are probably more elaborate. Choices 1 and 2 : a piece of meat served with the equivalent of a small fries barquette and a very small ramequin of lettuce/tomate a small part of tatin pie: almost € 30. Choice 3: Vegetarian plate... Big disappointment, because it is neither more nor less a assortment of steam cooked vegetables (even pieces of cucumbers were hot without looking for a portion of rice. It is clearly not a cooked dish with a search for tasteful sensations, it is a good damage for 14€. In summary, a nice restaurant, quite expensive, but which enjoys a certain monopoly so very frequented (reservation highly recommended . The setting is pleasant (you will only see the castle if you are on the terrace. The staff is alert (service pretty fast, pleasant and good advice. We stayed on our hunger, even if the bread is very good. The occasion was there waiting to visit the magnificent castle in front of it, but it is an experience that we will not renew: more than 90€ for 3 people (2 butcher menus, 1 vegetarian dish dessert and 3 soft drinks. At this price we were expecting a more garnish plate for menus or more tasteful for the Vegetarian plate.
