An honest opinion: My wife and I were visiting Calgary and wanted to try their burgers We got the bacon cheddar and the original deluxe.
My friend and I went to this Ricky's location for brunch on a SundayIt was awesome.
I didn't think twice about giving this place 5* because it ticked all the boxes. This isn't fine dining but it is absolutely typically French. The waitress, a middle aged lady was delightful, smiling and cheerful, and so helpful with my, now forgotten, school French. There are 3 menus; a plat du jour, 2 courses, or 4 courses, ranging from €7.90 to €11.90. There is a simple standard menu with two daily specials, drinks are around £2.50.My daughter and i visited on 3 occasions and only missed out on Saturday as it wasn't open for lunch, a real shame as we then went to Port-en-Bessin where we had a really poor, contrasting experience (see my review of that towns worst rated restaurant). When I'm next in Bayeux this is where I'll head for!
On our four day stay we did use the restaurant for dinner once, you have a salad bar with a small selection of veg and coleslaw, a nice bar for drinks and a nice selection of puddings and main meals are all cooked fresh so you get it piping hot. Sadly it's not open on Sundays so we had to go find an alternative. But all in all basic unfussy food.
