We began with a delicious salad topped with pears and walnuts, which easily satisfied both of us. For our main courses, I enjoyed a terrine with duck, lamb, and sausage served with quinoa, while my wife had the salmon fillet in a scotch sauce, both of which were delicious. For dessert, we indulged in a chocolate mousse. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable, especially considering the exchange rate.
This restaurant is a casual snack bar that offers burgers, hot dogs, poutine, fries, and onion rings. They also have more elaborate dishes like roasted chicken and tuna wraps, but they are not always available or well-prepared. It is a bit pricey, but there are limited options in the area. The staff is young and inexperienced, but they are learning. The ice cream has a slightly strange taste, but children may not notice. Overall, it is an okay place to grab a quick bite.
Do not order the doa wrap. After about 15 minutes, my son felt sick. The poutine my son ordered came with undercooked fries. There were 5 teenage waitresses who did nothing, and only 2 young people in the kitchen who seemed overworked. Overall, the food was subpar. The owners should stick to serving hotdogs and hamburgers, and leave real food to those who know how to properly prepare it without making their customers ill. My suggestion: if you are hungry, there is a gas station down the road that may be a better option.
My man and I stopped for lunch and a beer and were really impressed by the spits in la petite charrette. we sat on the terrace and enjoyed the view of the quiet village while we ate our poutine and deluxe grill cheese. delicious. and indulgent . we ordered inside at the counter and the personal was pleasant and explained the menu points. most people spoke French, but there was a fluent English speaker who took our order without problems. we still talk about poutine that we had in st. adolphe remember. it is almost directly opposite the road from the public beach, which also has a nice place for a fast swimming or just sitting and looking over the lake.
Lovely dinner on a snowy night. Warm rustic restaurant. Free glass of wine courtesy of our hotel. We started with a shared salad with pears and walnuts. Easily served us both. I had terrine with chicken, lamb and sausage with quinoa. Yummy. My wife had...filet of salmon in cream sauce. Also delicious. Dessert was a chocolate creme brulee. . Excellent service and reasonable price, especially considering the exchange rate.
