They set up a separate space to prepare my sandwich, covered it with plastic wrap, switched utensils to garnish it, and wrapped it in paper to heat it up. The soups were also gluten-free. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was perfect for a fast lunch.
The restaurant provides all sandwiches with the option of gluten-free bread. They ensure cleanliness in the preparation area and then place the sandwiches in paper before grilling them in the panini press. The food is incredibly tasty and the staff are extremely friendly.
I have mentioned that I had celiac disease a few times at this restaurant, and each time they were extremely accommodating. They prepared a separate area to make my sandwich, covered a clean surface with Saran wrap, used modified utensils to prepare it, and wrapped it in paper to keep it warm. The soups were also gluten-free, and the service was friendly and efficient. Overall, it's a great spot for a quick lunch.
Lovely café in the heart of the charming village of Ste. Anne de Bellevue. It's a very busy place. The only fault I found was that the service is very slow! There was a long line up just to get coffee, but the staff seemed...to be all over the place. There doesn't seem to be dedicated wait staff or barista. The three people behind the counter were waiting tables, preparing food and making coffee. The wait time to get a coffee was at least 15 minutes, so we left and went elsewhere. This was my second visit to Twigs on a different day and time, and experienced the same things both times. I understand it is a popular place, but I find the wait times a little too long just for a coffee or tea.
This cafe is always busy, which for me is a good sign. Their soups are homemade and extremely tasty. As for the sandwiches, you can make your own combo or choose one that is already selected for you. The personal is very nice. Although it...is always busy, they always keep a pleasant outlook. Most of the time, we order and leave as it is a small place and tables are taken. During the summer though, a small walk to the boardwalk in Ste-Anne is all it takes. Would highly recommend.
