Good Thai food for Canada. But in recent years it is simply no longer Thai. More Chinese. The red curry has no spiciness at all. Even if you ask for it. The garlic and pepper shrimp bears no resemblance to the Thai dish. No garlic taste and just a small sprinkle of pepper. The genuine Thai dish has a massive explosion of taste. Unfortunately much too bland and very disappointing.
Been going to this restaurant for many years. Always fresh, well prepared food and excellent service. Highly recommended!
We so happy that we found hidden gems Chalet Thai cousins in the heart of Anne De Bellevue. The foods so delicious not offent we write a review about the restaurant but this one a must folks, check it out if you are intown and feel the needs of thai food you won't be disappointed with cozy place and river view.
The service was quick and friendly. The outdoor seating area is limited in size. However, I was disappointed with the lack of flavor in the Thai dishes. The curry sauce was too watery for my liking.
This restaurant has been here for many years. The menu is quite big for a small restaurant. The food is excellent. The service is excellent. The location is excellent. But, it is not typical Thai spicy food. Spice used is minimal. The Tum Yum soup is very good. And so are the curries, but they need a bit of heat to be Thai. I think Thai restaurants in Montreal are afraid to make food spicy because of negative reactions to it from people who have never been to Thailand. A shame because when it opened, Chalet Thai was good Thai food. Recommended because of all the positive things but if you know about Thai food, don’t expect spicy.
