Although it was difficult to find, we had a wonderful evening. The chalet is absolutely stunning and the food was very good. Service was also exceptional. If you get a chance, find this hidden gem!
The beef and lamb from the open fire, in such a cozy, wonderful environment, with inexpensive wine options and beautiful staff was an unbeatable combo. It could have been the Merie girls, it could have been the company or it could be the smokey... Meat, but whatever it was, that was one of the best meals I ever had, if not. We had three courses, wine tastings (at the bottom of the price list), coffee, liqueurs and the bill were 120 €/head. Every penny worth and I'd go back in a heartbeat!
It was a challenge to find with instructions like, pass the chicken coup, two lanterns and turn right, downhill...but it was worth it! such a lovely cosy space, sheepskins, felt, v nice french glassware.. the food great for meat lovers...cote de boeuf cooked in...the chimney, lamb etc. Not ideal for veggies! family run and friendly nice break out sofa space with games in front of the fire. we loved it and would recommend to anyone staying in st foy station or surrounding areas
Lovely cosy old Savoyard restaurant with great food and service. They cook leg of lamb and cote de boeuf on an open fire.
