The reservation had been made three months prior and we even visited to taste the food. Going was a big mistake. Our host asked us to choose our meals three days prior to the event. When we arrived, the table was set, but there was no service. We waited an hour for the appetizers (preordered) to be served. They were good. In the meantime, we opened our own wine, the water was not replenished and no bread was served. At one point our host went into the hallway to ask for bread and food. A server came into the room and chastised our host for sticking her head into the kitchen. We should have left then. We begged for bread so they brought one basket for our table of 13. The kids got it! We were told the bread was in the oven and we eventually got a second basket of 6 small rolls and the kids ate most of it. There was an hour between the appetizers and when we finally got our main course. The food was generally terrible. I had the chicken and a few noodles. It was under seasoned, not particularly hot, the sauce was floury and could have been made by an amateur cook trying a recipe for the first time. My husband had the dried out tuna tataki- It was not good. We finally became so frustrated that we asked they return our cake (It was our 50th anniversary), skipped their coffee and dessert and left. I wish I had read the reviews more carefully before we ever booked. Lesson learned.
Very upset. Made online reservations 3 weeks ago for Mother’s Day dinner at 7:15. Upon arrival, we were told we would be eating OUTSIDE (7-8 degrees tonight) regardless of our requests to eat inside. We were wearing sandals and we’re not at all dressed nor prepared for a chilly night outside. Thank goodness the nearby Piment Thaï restaurant provided us with a warm welcome! So disappointed with Feliciano this weekend.
First off the restaurant itself is very nice with an elegant air about it. The terrace looks very nice and I imagine it would be a nice place to dine in the summer but I won't be going back. The waiter sat us at our table without menu's and did not return to open our wine for at least 10-15 minutes after we sat. We had to ask another server and she send our waiter over. Once we ordered the service improved. We ordered the fired calamari which was good but served fast food style in french fry holders. For mains we went with the recommendation of our server. My husband had the seafood pasta which was really highly recommended. It was served in their soup bowl, a big rim and very small shallow bowl. For $39.00 the portion was ridiculous, and it had about 4 small mussels, no clams or calamari to speak of and a few little mini salad shrimps AND the pasta was over cooked. I had the marinated flank steak, it was cook right but was so tough and chewy and I could not eat it. My husband ended up finishing it only because he was still hungry after his very small portion of pasta. Also the texture of the fries that came with it were so strange, they were very dark, really heavy and soft not crispy at all. Again another $39.00 dish full of disappointment.
Loved this restaurant, definitely the best patio in St. Sauveur, set back from the road, very quiet, pretty and spacious. Food was also very good, I had the chicken with mushrooms and pasta and my husband had the most perfectly cooked steak.
The best thing is the outdoor terrace with lit fountain, comfortable seating and plenty of parking. We were greeted warmly, our server was full of energy and attentive. The mushrooms chicken scallopini was served with a very small side of pasta. The chicken pieces were plentiful but not prepared correctly for scallopini which requires chicken breasts to be sliced, flatten, breaded and sauté. Their version was sliced pre-cooked chicken pieces smothered in a salty mushroom gravy, the gravy was thick, too salty and so awful but there was plenty of it.
