Blue Bay Café At Blue Bay Lodge

We came across this place by chance and I'm sorry to say once and never again. We were the only guests, along with two others who only consumed drinks. We ordered salad, a burger with chips and a steak with chips. The food came quite promptly. Steak as well as the salad and burger were good, but the chips were forgotten with the steak and the burger was very raw. You had to call out to the waiter what was going on with the chips, and you have to say they managed to fry the missing fries in under 2 minutes. They put the fries in front of us, they were very raw. We quickly turned away and squatted under the bars and played with our cell phone. When we finally noticed and I was finally able to complain about the fries, the steak was of course eaten. They managed to bring the fries back again in under 2 minutes, this time I refused to accept them and asked for the bill and lo and behold they didn't even consider us, to pay I had to go to the counter and ask again if you were overwhelmed with 2 guests are. What was cheeky was that they charged extra for the fries, which are actually part of the dish as a side! I refused to pay for the fries and the manager said they were then taken off the bill without comment. It's not a nice view anymore, but it's certainly available elsewhere so don't waste your time in this store.

Their braai bread was burnt. I don't suggest it. But their food is really good. The gnocchi and lasagna as well as the butter chicken curry was lovely. Thier chocolate cake is most amazingly moist. Overall really awesome little place. Stunning views. Little swing and slide for toddlers to play. They had a jumping castle but not the 2nd time we went. Their service could definitely be better but still friendly service. Service: Dine in

We got to reception nobody was there. Spoke to a waiters to get a table after reserving a spot. The menu while look's impressive but over priced, compared to steak served at other spots normaly come with chips here its extra. Service Needs improvement. 9 empty tables but we got our own menus, just took forever to put in orders. Peacful spot lovely views quality table and chairs. Toilet seats loose in Ladies.
