Billy's Barn Restaurant Lounge - Salem

Absolutely love, love, love Billy's Barn. We always stop in whenever we are traveling through town. I have never been on the lounge side but the restaurant side is awesome. I have never eaten a meal there that did not offer an extremely large portion with a more than fare price. Whether it was a salad, a wrap, wings, a bacon cheeseburger (which has become my personal favorite so far) every meal has been sooooo good! I recommend them to anyone wanting to enjoy a great meal that is also affordable. At least try it once. I bet you will go back again...and again!

This has become a place we stop by on our way to Blacksburg from Salem and also a place that we feel at home. The staff is PHENOMENAL! Everyone loves each other and loves their customers and know how to treat people right. Their music scene is awesome and their food is even better. No matter what you order it is delicious and they even have gluten free options! Chad is always welcoming and the bartenders are amazing. This is such a gem you won't be disappointed!

My wife and I were passing through on our trip from FL to PA and a local hotel desk clerk recommended Billy’s Barn. We had some amazing food (killer burger, steak salad and probably the best fries we ever had), and I had a hand-poured black tan that rivals the best lager/porter mixes the big breweries offer. I didn’t catch our server’s name, but she was sweet, funny and very efficient. We’ll be back every time we pass this way!

This place is not only a great spot to catch live music. But, it is probably the Roanoke valley’s best kept secret for awesome food. From Ribs and Steaks to Burgers And Sandwiches, Billy’s Barn rocks.

The fam and I (7 of us, w/ 5 under 12) were passing through and decided to give it a go and were SO glad we did. We had the 'best grilled cheese ever ', the 'best burger I 've ever had ', a toddler who had more smile than spaghetti sauce (and it was a lot of sauce) on her face, another pasta freak who loved the spaghetti. And a 6 year old who demolished her chicken fingers. And as for my wife and I she got some sort of huge fried chicken sandwich that had her over the moon, and my ribeye was perfectly cooked and delicious. Our server was Autumn and she was super attentive, super kind, and extremely intentional when it came to serving our toddler. All said and done, if we 're back in the area we 'll be back at the barn.
