Sakura Japanese - Salem

We absolutely adore Sakura! The flavors are on par with upscale Japanese restaurants, yet the prices are much more affordable. The portion sizes are incredibly generous. We often order two meals to-go, which is more than enough to feed our family of two adults and two small children, with some leftovers to spare. I recently took a picture of everything that comes with a single entrée, including soup, salad, rice, vegetables, and meat. The staff is exceptionally friendly and always willing to go above and beyond. Just yesterday, they brought our to-go order to our car without us even asking, saving us the hassle of getting the kids out of the vehicle. The cozy, intimate atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for date nights!

Always delicious! I used to work nearby and would eat here at least once a week, as well as perform weekly. I’ve since moved away, but I happened to be in the neighborhood tonight and decided to stop by. The service was just as amazing and efficient as I remembered, and the food was as fantastic and delicious as ever! I really missed this place! In my opinion, it’s the best Japanese restaurant around. It had been almost a year since the owners last saw me, yet they still remembered my name, where I worked, and what I usually ordered to eat and drink! Truly impressive and unbelievable!

Like an old worn shoe that always fits perfectly, this place never changes. Great Hibachi food without the Chiop Show like the other places in the city. Food comes fast and is always good. Lunch is the time to go to this place for a deal. In fact, I've never been there. I'll always be filled with a few to go.

Delicious! I always thought this place was similar to Tokyo Express, which I'm not a fan of, so I never considered dining at Sakura. But trust me when I say... Tokyo Express can't compare to Sakura. My wife and I went there for dinner. I ordered the steak (medium well) with shrimp, accompanied by white rice and vegetables, while my wife chose the hibachi chicken. We received both our entrees along with a salad featuring a delightful ginger dressing, soup, and sides of yum sauce and teriyaki sauce. It was AMAZING!!! This was the best meal we've had in a long time, and I'm bummed they aren't open today (Christmas, haha).

Best food in town. We have been coming here for 15 years, and make a special stop everytime that we are in town. The food has been consistently exceptional. We always end up ordering extra, because one meal is never enough for us. The chicken, steak, shrimp, vegetables, rice, soup, and salad are all delicious. This Japanese steakhouse is not one of those that puts on a show by cooking the food in front of you. The magic all happens in the kitchen, and you are rewarded with a wonderful meal at a very reasonable price.
