The Derby - Salem

Would've been better if the city of Salem didn't kick me out mins after our reservation

The derby was amazing and so accommodating! I could not say enough good things about this restaurant. The food, the staff, the drinks, etc... everything was so good and I look forward to coming back again soon

The food was pretty basic to be honest. It is what you would expect from a restaurant is a high tourist area. What really turned us off was the service. We received our apps in a timely fashion, but then minutes later we received our entrees. We were seated at a top so you could imagine how crowded the table was. The food runnerwaitress did not ask if we wanted anything cleared off or offer to bring the food back to the kitchen until we were finished with our apps. I've been in food service operations for years, I understand wanting to turn your times in a timely manner to made tips and push sales. However, the guest experience is a huge part of what makes a restaurant successful long term. We saw our waitress maybe times, when she took the order and when she dropped the bill. I obviously don't know what time the rush is for this location and for all I know maybe she was in the weeds. I sympathies, but from a guest point of view she didn't seem to care that we were being rushed

Loved it, decorated really cute for Halloween and the socially distanced set up was great! My server was perfect. Attentive without being too much, always came over at a break in convo and very quick with any request... Nachos were and always are AMAZING And this new drink they have “The cherry bomb” TO.DIE.FOR
