We went to this restaurant and thought it would be pretty nice, unfortunately we were wrong. we asked for mondongo suppe and a bandeja paisa, when the food came, we were very disappointed as the suppe was too salty and the bandeja had far. too much rice (approx. 3/4 of the plate). the service was great, but unfortunately he has compensated the bad quality of food.
All five of us squealed for dinner on the balcony in this original restored house. they were very attentive and the food was good. my wife loved the trout.
My experience was really good because they have a good alternative for their breakfast, they can see how is the traditional cooking and people of eje cafetero of Colombian and enhoy a beautiful momento for their day in salento to start. really recommended!
We were visiting Salento for a few hours and found a promoter on the street who pointed us towards his restaurant. We were so hungry that we followed his advice, but mostly because he offered us a bed to sleep a siesta after our lunch...8,D!...The restaurante is on a second level and is set up as a local home with bedrooms and living rooms. It felt like being in a private kitchen actually. We ordered the sancocho de gallina which was plain splendid, and quite plentiful. The service is friendly and efficient, young people with a happy demeanor. We will definitely try to eat there again next time we visit Salento, which by the way is a lovely, picturesque town. It is a definite must if you stop by Salento.
