La Plaza Bakery Cafe - Salinas

I ordered a small gender reveal cake, and I must say, the staff was incredibly friendly. They expressed how excited they were to make the cake for us. When I arrived with the envelope containing the baby's gender, I was welcomed with smiles and told, "We've been waiting for you." The service was fantastic, and the cake was delicious! Their menu offers a wide variety of options, and I've never had anything that I didn't enjoy.

I absolutely adore their champurado, and their bread is simply amazing! It’s always soft and incredibly delicious! They have a fantastic variety of breads too. Their tortas are also very tasty. I tried their pork tamales for the first time, and they were excellent. The masa has a wonderful flavor.

I purchased some bread and a single-serve package of milk. The bread was tasty, but unfortunately, the milk was spoiled, even though it had an expiration date that was still three days away. It's surprising that a small business would overlook such a basic principle as first in, first out.

I've always loved their deli food. The quality and portion size are very good at a great price. The bakery is also great and a staple in Monterey county with all of their locations. Tortas and shrimp tacos are my go to.

I purchased 4 torts. Meat was very dry. Very plain. So disappointing and expensive. Money down the drain. I will not be coming back here at all.
