Toby Carvery Amesbury - Salisbury

This was my first time visiting this restaurant and I was disappointed to find that the food was plentiful but lacked flavor and was not served hot, just lukewarm. The staff, however, were pleasant and provided good service. Overall, I was disappointed with the food quality and will not be returning.

Toby carvery amesbury is very terrible. terrible eating, terrible service, extremely loud. After we have received a text, just before our booking period, that our booking would only take place for more minutes, we waited minutes after we sit before someone came around. during eating the bark was unusable, only gristle and vene, it could not be cut, or even pulled apart, and was tasteless and cold. the veg was all lukewarm and tasteless and the yorkshire puddings were chewing. I left the biggest part of my teller's food. waited old again, then were taken teller and we were just presented with the bill. we were not asked whether we want dessert or coffee, only given the bill without even being spoken. no nice things, how was your meal, was something wrong, etc., since I had almost left the entire plate of food, as it was unusable. we would have had better food and service at the mcdonald’s next door, and that says something. disappointed it is not. will not come back.

Absolutely disgusting! will never visit again, food was vile! the bark was full of crispy fat bits, and even the veg was disgusting, like reheated rubberized ****. make them please one and stay home to cook their own, wants much better than this over price...Garbage! avoid like the plague! complete waste of money .

Do not expect too high a standard, but that's why they don't go there. it is local and affordable if they are not disturbed to cook an evening meal. we are going quite often and I think it all depends on who the cook is for this day. we will continue and flee between toby and wetherspoon.
