Takezushi Restaurant - Salmon Arm

Food is always fresh and tasty. The service is fast and friendly. And their prices are very reasonable.

My family and I adore this hidden gem in the Centenoka Mall. The California Rolls are delicious, and my daughter absolutely loves them.

Meh, this place is decent enough for Mall Sushi (located in a very run mall) but I wouldn't go out my way to go back here. It's a small sushi bar, like it's in a mall food court. In any case, that would be a restaurant, even though there are seats available. The roles were mostly good. I had the tekka maki (Route Thunfischrolle) and the Aiko Maki (Rohsalmon, Tobiko, green onion and Mayo) and they were both good. However, we were extremely disappointed that the role called Salmon River Roll #1, the shrimps, smoked salmon and green onion had CANNED shrimps (absolutely eclectic), with a Morsel smoked salmon and a small piece of green onion. See image I added. Who uses CANNED shrimp in sushi rolls? These guys do it, and it was absolutely horrible.

There's no need to search far and wide for authentic Japanese cuisine that is both comforting and calming. I recently had lunch at Takezushi and was impressed by the serene and traditional preparation of the dishes. There are no flashy chefs or gimmicks here, just simple and delicious food that feels like a home-cooked meal in Japan. The prices are reasonable, and just like in Tokyo, Osaka, and other Japanese restaurants I've been to, hot tea is complimentary. I highly recommend trying the Sunomono Salad and Teriyaki Shrimp Roll.

We just loved our sushi supper yesterday. Situated at the far west end of the Centenoka Park Mall, this charming spot is a discovery for us. We shared four kinds of sushi, and every one of them was superb! We also enjoyed a salad that...had noodles, shrimp and cucumber, which together were refreshingly delicious too. Free tea along with a sushi order made the whole meal complete. We will soon be back to explore other great versions of sushi on offer. A great value for reasonable cost, and high quality ingredients put together with style. A gourmet treat!
