Dont know what happened but all our orders were wrong. We have gone to Cafe Rio since their first store in SLC. The labels on the food were printed correctly, the orders didnt match the plates and were all wrong. My vegetarian tostada had pork in it. Sad and disappointing. Not sure Ill come back.
Cafe Rio rarely disappoints. The food is good if a bit overpriced. That said, find a local taqueria like Katrina's just down the street. You'll get better food and your money will go to a local middle-class family rather than some millionaires somewhere.
My salad would have tasted better if the chef had drained the juice from the beans and pork. It made it a soupy mess with a soggy tortilla. I'll go back to Cafe Rio, but not this one.
If you have the ability, go to a different location. It’s convenient they are close but the food/sauce made at this location is very subpar compared to any other location in the Salt Lake area. Online food orders even when not busy are 15-25min past the estimated time and never take priority. This used to be one of the best cafe rio locations, very sad what it has become.
