Had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food was tasty, the atmosphere was lively, and the service was exceptional.
I ordered The Kings Crown steak, which cost $78, but it was overcooked. It took 45 minutes for our entrees to be served, which almost made us late for our show. We didn't have time for dessert or coffee. However, my wife's chop was very good and she was satisfied with it.
This restaurant was amazing and the food was fantastic. We will be back again.
We made Thanksgiving Dinner reservations three weeks in advance for a stop over we were making on our way back from a trip to London, overnighting in Salt Lake City. We arrived at 6:50pm for our 7:00pm reservation. We were asked to wait a few minutes at the bar as the tables were backed up due to 1) people staying longer than expected and 2) they let service staff leave early as it was a quiet before a large number of customers arrived. It was a fixed menu for Thanksgiving, which is understandable. Plan your food orders ahead and work your reservations to understand quantities needed. We were finally seated at our table at 7:40pm. I was looking forward to the Filet Mignon on the fixed menu options. When we started our order, we we were told that my wife’s appetizer selection (shrimp cocktail) was out for the second time that day according to the waiter, when it came to my choice, the Filet, it too was out. I’m not typically someone who leaves bad reviews. But in this instance, it was pretty justified. Out of availability for key entrees and appetizers for a fixed menu. I’ve honestly never experience that. The mashed potatoes arrived luke warm to cool. The corn bread stuffing was virtually uneditable. My substitute sirloin steak was actually pretty good (it is a steak house). I guess they are good with steaks. I just wish the steak house that it is, didn’t run out of filet mignon. We were also working on a jetlag, eating dinner at what would have been 3:30AM London time after our long day of flying. Maybe we caught them on a bad day/night. But I know we won’t be trying Christopher’s again.
