We chose to do vanilla and a red velvet sheet cakes instead of a traditional wedding cake and they were both very delicious. We got so many complements from our guests, especially about the red velvet flavor (and none of them could tell it was vegan). We had a couple of gluten free guests too, so it was really nice to be able to order a small side of gluten free cupcakes for them. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a delicious cake or cupcakes!
We had a great experience working with City Cakes Cafe! A group of us came in town to celebrate birthdays and I was recommended the bakery by a colleague. We had some ordering miscommunications but the team was really helpful with getting those resolved! The cakes turned out great and we really liked how they tasted.
Our wedding cake turned out gorgeous!! It was pretty tasty the flavor we picked was the gluten free vanilla chocolate marble with chocolate buttercream filling. Leaving four stars because the other gluten free flavors were not very yummy. Really feel like they could improve their gluten free vanilla cake as well as chocolate cake. The vanilla was lemony and the chocolate was not chocolatey. We appreciated being able to try the flavors before ordering our cake! So so happy to find a place that does gluten free dairy free wedding cakes!
We have been going to this bakery for years. A couple of disappointing experiences, but overall it's been wonderful to have vegan options for dessert. One of my children has a dairy allergy and the other one has an egg allergy, so this is our go-to bakery. Our last birthday cake experience was not great and I was very disappointed to have to serve it to guests, BUT it's usually pretty good.
My last visit was super disappointing and it caused a gluten flare up for me. I came to pick up my favorite gluten free pumpkin bread from the bakery and went home to find out that while there was a gluten free sticker on the loaves, the ingredient list sticker said that it contained flour. I only realized after having a slice since I had previously picked up a loaf before and thought I could trust the bakery again. I should’ve been more careful on my part but multiple loaves were mislabeled and dangerous for those with true celiac disease.
