The Maine and Connecticut Lobster rolls at Colossal Lobster are to die for. Probably the best lobster rolls I’ve had to date. The lobster isn’t overwhelming and there is a perfect amount of it in a deliciously tantalizing roll that will have your head spinning with every bite in the best way possible. Don’t miss this spot when you’re in town.
There was nothing Colossal here except the price and the disappointment in the quality. The pieces of lobster meat were small, dry and flavorless. The bread was too soggy with butter to pick up. I would think that for the price of $22 with tip I would have at least been given a side, but the tots apparently are additional. I really was looking forward to this Lobster Roll, but will not be a return customer until quality improves.
My husband and I browsed our options at HallPass and decided we wanted to try something here. We went with the Ahi Poke Nachos and the Garlic Parm Tots. Both of them were very good. They didn't skimp on the toppings for the nachos which I appreciated. I would definitely come back here to try more of the menu.
Everything tasted pretty good just a bit expensive. Lobster roll could have used a bit more meat, clam chowder was really good but bad idea for a night of drinking and the fried calamari could have gone without the extra sauce on top it tasted like every other breaded calamari. It was a busy night so it tasted fresh.
