Disted on the other night to see how the restaurant hit new management, and was blown away from the quality of food. Tender lamb burned to perfection, gnocchi in delicious creamy pesto sauce, and the Porcini mushroom risotto were some of the highlights. Extensive wine list and helpful staff ensures the pairing meals. Great atmosphere and calm ambience - sound-damping tiles in the ceiling make a big difference in an open restaurant room. Had a great time and will definitely come back.
The food was so sold out to sold out other things, and it's a great atmosphere at lunch, as the Italian American is, the quiet electoral general experience is
Try the lasagna!!!! Great service & ambiance here. The wine selection was phenomenal. Nice patio. Try the lasagna! Seriously, it's that good.
We are regulars for good reason. Michelangelo's has been our favorite neighborhood restaurant for over a decade. We were skeptical when they moved locations and changed the vibe. Luckily, we love the feel of this place! Everyone is friendly and mostly knowledgeable. And, if they don't know the answer to your question they quickly ask the chef so you can get an accurate answer. My husband and I moved here from NYC. So, finding good Italian food is our thing! Everything we have ever had here has been phenomenal! Here's our list of favorites: Gnocchi Pomodora (with a side of Gorgonzola), Chicken Picata, Michelangelo Club, Butternut Squash Ravioli, Carpaccio, all of their soups (esp the Tomato Basil), Veggie Panini, and the LASAGNA! I love that their Gnocchi are small and pillow like (not dense) and plentiful- I can only eat half on a good day. My husband loved that the Chicken is pounded thin to perfection just like is Napoleon Grandma used to do. My daughter and I are addicted to their Tomato Basil soup and actually ask the manager to call us eat time the chef makes it. In addition, their wine list and bar selection is quite good! I've read that service is an issue for some. I understand if you wait too log for water. But, what patrons need to realize is that this is not "fast food". They are whipping up sauces and dishes as they are ordered. This is a place to sit back with friends and family and enjoy your time together while your food is being expertly prepared. NOT the place to cram in a meal before a movie! Our server this weekend was Holly. She was friendly, attentive and a very informative for the newbies in our group. Last week we had one of their new servers, Cass. He was totally on the ball and made sure we were well taken care of. We recently watched Holly serve a very "high maintenance" rude couple. She was nothing but polite and made sure to have water filled and food to the table in a faster manner than normal. I was impressed because I was about to lose it on this couple! But she was professional and courteous. I obviously love this place and would recommend it to anyone!
