Rumbi Island Grill - Salt Lake City

A friend had a purchase got a free voucher. She used it for my birthday dinner. The girl in the cash register wouldn't let us both use it. She said they had a policy that you could only use a voucher in a group and a friend went through before us, ordered and paid with a $5.00 voucher. I said we'd both sit on another table... she didn't care. Politics was politics. I said nowhere on the voucher that people who came together could not sit at different tables and use coupons... she didn't care. The man who brought our food to the table also said it was a policy, again I said it should say that on the voucher... he said it did... it wasn't, but he didn't care. Apparently they have a directive that the customer is not right. I've been there for years, but not anymore.

Too expensive for the part. I ordered my rice bowl with the Cano style beans and was disappointed that I got less than 1/4 cup of black beans. Even if you're cheap skimping on black bohnen doesn't make sense. The meal probably costs $1.50 to make (92% rice, 4% pork, 2% beans) and they cost $13. It is a shame because the flavors are good, only not worth the cost.

Too expensive for the small portions they give. Not many options to choose from. They used to have a chicken salad in the south, which was very good. The old menu was better. I'm not going back

Excellent location, incredibly well managed at ran. This is a place I regularly go for lunch, the staff is always pleasant and helpful. The restaurant is clean. The food is coming out quickly.

We have been to multiple Rumbi?s before but did not have a good experience tonight. We ordered a steak bowl with veggies. The veggies were barely cooked, not warm at all, they looked and tasted almost raw. The steak was also not warm and was tough. We purchased loaded fries and there were hardly any toppings. And it didn?t even come with fry sauce. Based on the experience and the price of this meal we could have gone to a much nicer restaurant for the same price.
