She couldn't remember anything and she offended our party by saying inappropriate things. On top of that, she patted one of my guests on the head several times. I don’t recommend their service and their food is fare to moderate try Mikado. The girls organizing it were nice but it stops there! Our table couldn't believe how ditsy they were being here! I was throwing my husband a birthday dinner and the server made a sexual comment to my husband after he said I want something sizzling. She was beyond over the line and after confronted, she couldn't fairly apologize and blew it off!
This is the first time I've been to Tsunami. The sushi was excellent. By far the freshest fish I've had compared to other SLC sushi restaurants. The prices are pretty fair considering the quality of the fish, the excellent taste, nice decor, and great service. Me and my friends shared a bunch of rolls, there wasn’t a single one we didn't disliked (we ordered about 6-7 of them). We also thoroughly enjoyed the ribs. I would highly recommend it to anyone, even if you're afraid of raw fish--the menu offers plenty of alternatives. One of my friends who doesn't like fish got the chicken teriyaki, and loved it.
I have been to many good sushi restaurants in the West, and I love Tsunami. I have yet to find a better place. Sure I have had better rolls, but I have never been to a place that has such good variety over the complete menu. The fish always seems to be very fresh. The Don Juan and Tokyo Cowboy (Kobe beef) are my favorite rolls and the escolar is absolutely amazing.
Since discovering Tsunami a couple of years ago, my husband and I have tried many other sushi restaurants in town to compare, and so far Tsunami is still our favorite great selection and great sushi chefs!
I thought this was an over priced nightmare. I had a really bad experience. The meal, the service, the atmosphere... all in my opinion crappy. If anyone asks me what the worst sushi I have ever had was, I will say Tsunami in Sugarhouse. Sorry but you guys need to try harder.
