Mama Paca - Salta

What fabulous service is available in this beautiful restaurant. We had a very tasty dinner with fabulous wine recommendations and the best service I have met so far on this trip through Argentina. Very recommended.

Came here on New Year's Day and had a delicious lunch with seafood. Since Salta is far from the sea, the seafood was fresh and well cooked. The service was brilliant, our waiter was really patient and really helped us with portion sizes (it is always...either too much or not enough in Argentina). Price is appropriate for service and charming location.

We have performed some excellent empanadas and humitos from this local business. The service was fast and the price was reasonable.

In about 5 minutes walk from the main square a Spanish style restaruant. Enjoy a typical Spanish paella.

We were warmly welcomed to Mama Paca the staff are friendly and helpful and despite it appearing very much like a restaurant for locals they did offer us an English translation menu. The food was very good, fresh and flavoursome. I had the Surubi...steak (a local river Catfish I believe) which was perfectly cooked. We chose the Yacochuya Torrontes which paired very nicely. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in town and are seeking an alternative to red meat.
