Matthews Oak Hickory Bbq - SALUDA

This place has good fried chicken, the best coke slaw, and good mustard based bbq. They used to have the best French fries ever but We've heard they started using the frozen kind so We are disappointed in that. Do not look to closely at anything and get it to go (go in side door not dining room door). Send in your most not caring about cleanliness relative to pick up the order and you will be fine. It's an old Southern place from back in the day which is nice to see.

Used to be better but food has gotten sloppy and place looks so dirty. They used to make their own French fries and they were the best but they just changed to prepackaged fries and they suck. Also prices are now through the roof.

Awesome barbecue I drive from Greenwood SC down there

This might be the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The lady at the front counter was so rude and the restaurant was dirty. Prices on menu did not reflect the price charged.

BBQ sandwich and plenty of fries enough for 2 lunches
