On a daytrip to Samos with my husband, we were directed by another cafe owner near the Pink Lady to Gyrovolies Grill House just after the bus station) restaurant is below Botox Bar). We asked the chef if he had moussaka which he did not)...instead he offered us an alternative which was similar as well as other excellent suggestions. Chef offered us taster portions of mushrooms as well as grilled vegetables. We chose to have the following: 1. Eggplant rolls with gruyere 2. Bouyiourdi 3. Chef 's mushrooms 4. Half portion crumbed calamari with pickled long sweet red pepper chef even told me how to pickle this) This was served with a basket of slices of garlic bread, small bowl of soft cooked yellow split peas topped with fresh onion, bottle of water. At the end of our very delicious meal we were surprised with a lovely piece of sponge cake! The food here was some of the best we have ever eaten anywhere in the world on our travels. The bill was only €22 for quite large starter portions...in fact 2 starters would have been sufficient! I am a very good cook and was overwhelmed by the flavours. Also all ingredients were fresh...none frozen! We also watched the chef cook!

We had lunch here yesterday with my husband and we loved it. The staff were very friendly, the portion sizes were much larger than we expected. Everything was cooked fresh to order. The restaurant itself looked like it might be expensive, but the cost of the food and drink was very reasonable. Everything looked to be very well maintained, even the rest rooms. I will definitely visit again when we next return, and would advise any food lovers to give this restaurant a try.
