Mikaku Restaurant - San Andreas

The Sashimi was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. It's clear that many locals dine at this restaurant. The service was excellent. Overall, it's a fantastic local place for top-quality Sushi.

Sushi well prepared from good ingredients. Kitchen had difficulty coordinating the service so that you were served and the other waited >10 min. Available drinks did not match the menu items. If you miss a lot, the food was good.

Food was great, but the service was lucky charm. Admittedly, there was only one server running around at all tables, but the times she would stop at our table, she was not particularly friendly and simply rushed through our order.

Service was great, ambience great, quiet atmosphere, great for conversations. The food was average. Excellent sweet potato sushi!

Fresh/real wasabi. Sashimi platter portion on the small side, but other choices okay size. Be prepared to order a few starters to share cause the main course really isn't big enough for a normal appetite. Overall good quality food. One complaint is the restaurant added a 20% tip for my party of 5 (a bit unusual for not a big party) and server didn't remind me of such. 20% tip isn't an issue nowadays, but auto adding that for a smaller party and not reminding customers is. I looked at the bill and noticed it and didn't over-tip them. Feels a bit sneaky, don't you think?
