Always a joy. Delicious fish and knowledgeable, fun chef and service crew!
Decent specialty fish, but the salmon belly, which we eat constantly, was super fishy. Fresh, never frozen, scallop tasted fine, but not better than the frozen scallop most sushi places serve. Snow Trout was amazing, staff was really nice, wagyu yakisoba came as an egg roll, so we tasted less noodle or beef, and more fried dough. Pricey for what it is
Servers awkwardly pushed most expensive specials as their three personal favorites and contradicted each other (first server said to order fish first while palate fresh; then second server came to take order and wanted us to order apps and hot dishes first . That said, the fish was quite nice and portions were good. But when spending $150-200 on a meal (for two , I hope for a little more tableside manners than these slightly inept (high school kids? could pull off.
The nigiri portions were tiny. The Maki had so much rice, I could hardly taste the fish. Otherwise, the fish was very good. Not a good value.
