This used to be my goto place for Vietnamese rice noodle soup, pho. I usually order pho with rare steak (tai) and tendon (gan) and broken rice with chat-grilled pork (com thit nuong). Pho had tasty soup broth, and grilled pork was tender and delicious. Having crispy egg roll and spring roll as appetizer is a good idea. Over 5 years their pho has maintained quality, but broken rice has become sticky. Also their price has gone up. You need to walk 15-20 minutes from the Old Town Transit Station. You can take a bus and still need to walk ~5 minutes. They serviceis quick, so you are still within 2 hour window to ride a transit without additional fare if you use the Pronto pass. They have plenty of free parking, so driving there is a better option than public transport.

If you only have time to try just one Vietnamese place while you're in San Diego, do yourself a favor. It's clear that they have pride in keeping the place clean for their guests.Finally, and most important. The food. Seriously, super delicious! I had the fried Vietnamese egg rolls. They were really delicious. I followed that up by Veggie pho noodle soup with tofu.
