Thai Time Downtown - San Andreas

It definitely AINT thai time here! The Pad Thai was awful. Too sweet. No flavor. No spice. I question if their produce is even fresh because the green onion (which clearly wasn't fried long enough) had a funky taste. The bean sprouts had no taste so I know they weren't fresh. I prefer no tails on my shrimp if they come mixed in with a dish. I don't want to have to put my fork down and pick up a tailed shrimp! Was I expected to chew the crunchy tail in my mouth? I have tasted waaay better shrimp at other Asian restaurants who did not charge me $19 for one dish to go. The service was so so considering it was lunch time and they were busy but the lack of a greeting or even eye contact made me feel unwelcome. I don't know who this food is suited for definitely not me! First and last time here!

If you are looking for a cheap bite in the area without high expectations for their cuisine. This will be it. It's a family operated, hole in the wall spot. Cashier at the counter was friendly and helpful.

The food tastes terrible here. Its like they think non thai people won't know what bad thai food tates like. The thai ice tea tates metallic and has a weird after taste. The Tom Ka soup wasn't much better. Everything is super greasy. Good thai food is not greasy. The only thing that I ordered that tasted some what edible was the pineapple fried rice but i added the peanut sauce to it to make it have flavor. The Thai Time on 30th is way better. This was such a disappointment and I love Thai food and know what good Thai food tastes like. Its also frustrating there was not one person here who was able to understand the customers appropriately as the people working here had basic English (glad they are trying) . Not enough to understand why something tasted bad (difficult to communicate with).

A great lunch spot for the area! Their lunch menu is amazing, ranging from $11-$13, which includes some fried sides, salad, a soup, and an entree!Another pro is that you can get in and out usually within an hour. Service is pretty quick, which is great if you're on a tight schedule. Our server brought us boxes without us asking and took our order minutes after we sat down.My go-to is the pad see ew which I think is DELICIOUS. You cannot go wrong. However, with spice level, I'd stay within the 2-3 range to be safe. I got 4 and it already had a kick. No complaints. This restaurant is a very short walk from the local courthouses, great especially if you're in jury duty. Not much parking around, so it's best to walk here if you can.

Super rude staff the lady is unable to get the extra things you need like Chile sauce and lemon.
