They claim to have curry, but it is far from it. Their curry is just soup with a dash of curry powder...really disappointing, and far from the very respected Japanese Curry....or any curry. If the owners read this Curry is like gravy, not soup.
VERY unpleasant experience! Appetizer: Tempura shrimp absolutely no seasoning in the batter; it tasted like they rolled damp shrimp/veggies in dry unseasoned flour. Tempura sauce had little taste seemed to be watered down too much. My son had teriyaki steak; I had teriyaki steak chicken. The steak was inedible. Both of us chewed chewed on the meat without it ever breaking up in our mouths. I had to spit my first bite out because it was too large to safely swallow whole. After 2 bites each, with the same chewing gum experience, we decided that the meat was an inferior cut and poorly prepared. My chicken was OK. [BTW both of us have our own teeth! The steamed veggies were passable, though my son said some of is had a fishy taste cross contamination with shrimp? Both of us had fried rice. They measure a serving by filling a square bowl inverting it on the plate. The rice on the outside was dried out inside of the mound of rice it was wet. Apparently the serving bowls had been filled hours earlier not stored properly, so moisture on the outside evaporated moisture inside condensed. I complained to the waiter, who told the cook; cook responded he was sorry but could do nothing about it. When we got up to leave, I asked what the manager said about our complaint was told the manager was not there no one was there filling his role. I was told no one could offer any resolution to the problem that both of us were leaving without our meals. They were sorry. When I said I was not planning on coming back, the waiter smiled said OK. This was the second time I ate there, the first time my son did. I enjoyed my first visit; seems like they replaced the cook I enjoyed cut corners to save by sacrificing good food.
I thought the ramen was very good! I got a pork broth with chicken! My husband got the chicken Katsu curry and it was soooo tasty! 5/5
