Applebee's Grill - San Antonio

The margaritas during happy hour were fantastic! We ordered four appetizers: pretzels with beer cheese dip, a chicken quesadilla, chips with queso blanco, and taco nachos. We were absolutely stuffed!

I have to confess that I lost faith in this chain a few years ago due to its decline in quality. However, it seems that something has changed for the better, as the food quality has significantly improved. I reluctantly met a business associate for a late lunch there this week, and I was pleasantly surprised by the food and service. It just goes to show that things can change. I will likely return.

I was surprised to see such a low rating for this restaurant. I've visited several times over the past three years since moving to this part of town, and I’ve never had a bad experience. I do wish they would bring back a couple of items to the menu, but the food and service have consistently been good. My go-to dish is the Parmesan Shrimp Steak. Occasionally, the steak has been a bit tough, but the flavor has always been excellent. I also really enjoy their Bahama Mama's Mudslides. This is my favorite spot whenever I'm in the mood for a steak. I haven't been there on a Monday or Tuesday lately, so I can't say for sure if they still offer it, but for a while, they were selling 7oz steaks for just $8.99 on those days, and they were really good. I'll update my review once I go back on those days to see if the deal is still available.

Good bar service with good appetizers. Staff is courteous and efficient. For a chain, it's pretty decent. Enjoy!

Great Food Service. We ate at this Applebee's on a Saturday night. The food was excellent, as was the service. They were very busy, but had enough wait staff on hand, so the food arrived in a timely manner and our waitress checked in with us several times. Both bathrooms were clean too.
