Basil Mediterranean Kitchen

The Hummus flight was good as the Greek salad and the Giro. They ran out of some of the hummus flavors and had no basic condiments like ketchup for frits or lemons for iced tea. The service was not great and we had to get our own drinks and tell the waiter that our food was ready. There was more concern about the cleaning of the restaurant than the service of the few people in the restaurant.

A little busy first with only one server. Jordan was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and appropriate. The presentation was so cool. I'd go back soon!

Oh, the Na?an! Let's just start. Warm, soft, seasoned with oil, garlic, basil and other spices. This amazing gyro with huge pieces of tomatoes, cucumber, green paprika and Romaine. Beautiful traditional gyro meat and the Tzatziki was rich, creamy, full of Dill Gurke. The rice was also tasteful and served Yin/Yang style next to each other. Just a wonderful visit with great service. I wish I had relaxed and enjoyed more, but I was crunchy in a time.

Dad had a afternoon in the medical center, so we decided to stay in the area to dinner. I was at @basil. texas with a friend before and so it's for the first time for dad and mine man. we received the free naan and diving sauce that was feta, oil and spice. it was so hot and fresh and huge! dad and I shared the lamm shank and my man had the lamm osso bucco. Both were tender and came with a nasalat and rice. there was enough lamb to take home with the nan. we didn't have space for the baklava, but the last time it was good. ashley took care of us during the meal. next time, the whole branzino could try. the outside seats are quite sunny for dinner. we were on the only table that was in the shadow.

The food here was very good. The meat was tender and flavorful. The chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy. My wife enjoyed the falafel but says she has had better. Everything else was great. I read a few reviews stating that the portion sizes were small personally I thought they were spot on. Just the right amount of food I was full but not overly full. I would like to say that the to-go containers were great and kept the food hot. I will be trying this place again for sure.
