For my father's day lunch, I chose this place because I was curious and wanted a gyro. First and foremost, the entire staff is super friendly and you can tell everyone was busting their respective butts making sure everyone was attended to. I ordered the gyro platter and my wife ordered the lamb kabob platter. For appetizers I had the small plate of grape leaves and my wife the small plate of mushrooms. Everything came fresh and well seasoned. The Naan was also great. We enjoyed everything. Even the rice was very well done and tasty. For dessert. Oh my. Of course we had to try out the baklava. There was another dessert that we tried which was the sweet cheese and shredded dough served warm. It was a tasty treat that was pretty new to me and I really enjoyed that as well. To put it plainly, this restaurant has the taste of a home cooked meal, which is great. Everything tasted like you were eating at a friend's house where mom and/grandmother were cooking up a storm and you happened to stop by to reap the rewards.
Was my first time eating at this restaurant. The food was really good, service was decent. Portion sizes were on the large side. Prices were fair for the quality of food. I ordered the beef kabobs which came with a small chopped pepper and onion salad and rice. An appetizer of naan bread and oil with cheese was brought out before the meal. I also added a side of the grilled vegetables to my plate for $3 which is easily enough for 2 people. I would definitely return to try some more items. Everything this trip was great.
I will not be returning to Jerusalem Grill/stone oak location. This was the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The waiter did not even ask us for our order. He just stood there and looked at us, and I had to ask if we could order. When he brought out our entrees, he tossed the plates on the table in front of us! I mean that literally, he did not place the plates down, he tossed them. He never said thank you, never even attempted to talk to us or ask us how our food was. It was as if he was extremely bothered to be serving my family. On the contrary, I noticed that the interaction he had with the family sitting behind us was completely different, so this waiter obviously was selective with who he treated poorly. Perhaps he only likes serving white families. Not sure. The food was okay but definitely not worth going through the terrible treatment. The restaurant was also very hot and uncomfortable. There were only 4 parties dining in the whole restaurant so they were not very busy. Would NOT recommend this place at all.
Loved this place. Food is delicious. Authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Best Mediterranean food I've ever eaten, hands down. The staff is very friendly and courteous. We had a great time. The place has a nice atmosphere and great costumer service. I highly recommend.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio for consistently good Israeli Mediterranean food. We are vegetarians so this is a delight. They bring a huge homemade pita with oil and cheese to start. The vegetarian plate is enormous and features the best falafels I have ever had. The dolmas are also delicious as is the labneh and baba ghanoush. It’s open late until 9:30, so you can dine after a busy day. Highly recommend.
