I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and I'm so glad I finally did! I wish I hadn't waited so long. When I walked in, the aroma was incredible. I ordered the jollof rice with beef and now I'm so full I can't move. I had to make myself stop eating. I wish there was a bit more beef for the price, but there was plenty of rice for me to freeze and use as a side dish. Thank you, Kobam!
The food was tasty, but it seemed not fresh and may have been several days old.
I have lived in central Texas for over 20 years and have yet to come across an African restaurant that serves egusi, okra soup, and kobams as well as this one. The chefs here really know how to cook these dishes, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic African cuisine. I visited the restaurant about a week ago while in town and had a great experience. However, I was surprised when I was asked to pay for my meal, as this had never happened on previous visits. It left me wondering if they have had issues with customers leaving without paying in the past. This was disappointing, especially considering my history of dining at the restaurant without any problems.
I wanted to try the egusi suppe and I must say it was absolutely delicious? I will be absolutely back to try some more of their dishes. everything looked so amazing. many thanks also to the friendly staff.
