Ma Harper's N'awlins Creole Kitchen

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for almost 2 years. I was lucky to be in the area during lunch time today because the food was amazing. The fried fish and shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the fish was seasoned just right. Although the red beans and rice was not my favorite dish, it was still very tasty and the portion size was generous. And then there's the boudin sausage, which I decided to add to my order. I am glad I did because it was the best boudin sausage I have ever had, even compared to other restaurants in Louisiana. I give this restaurant a perfect 10 out of 10 for their excellent customer service, cozy atmosphere, and delicious food. After a rainy morning at work, I couldn't have asked for a better meal. Thank you so much, ladies. I will definitely be back.

Ma is an amazing African American woman who is 92 years old and continues to work and run her business with the same dedication and care as she always has.

The service at this restaurant is excellent and the staff is very friendly. We ordered shrimp po’boys and gumbo, both of which were delicious, piping hot, and clearly made from scratch. The perfect balance of spices and salt was evident in both dishes. We recommend trying the housemade kettle chips instead of the french fries for a great crunchy addition to your sandwich. Despite its simple appearance, Ma Harper's is a true gem not to be underestimated.

Fried Catfish, red beans rice, phenomenal! The peach cobbler here is the best peach cobbler I have ever had in my life! I was shocked! Better than my grandmothers! The sweet potato was great as well! Good Swamp water too! Atmosphere could use some work! Momma Harper is a delight!
