Given that this is a Mexican-style seafood restaurant, I expected a cracker or breadcrumb coating. The fish itself was more pink than white. The customer service was quite minimal—there wasn't much interaction, and they seemed rushed, though not in a good way. On the bright side, the prices were reasonable. However, since the fish is supposedly their most popular dish, I don't feel inclined to try anything else. Honestly, we've had much better tasting fish at various other places.
The food was outstanding, and our server—a young man—was both friendly and attentive. They began by serving us complimentary tostadas with two house sauces, which was a nice touch. We ordered a family platter featuring fried fish and fried shrimp, accompanied by a side of cilantro rice that was delicious. We also tried a mixed fish and shrimp ceviche, which was fresh and flavorful. The portions were generous, making it more than enough for our family of three. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience here and will certainly return when we're in the area. As for kid-friendliness, there are plenty of options on the kids’ menu.
When we arrived, I was struck by how clean and charming the small block building was. The dining area is cozy, comfortable, and has a lovely coastal vibe. The restrooms were spotless, which says a lot! We met Paola when we placed our order, and she was incredibly friendly, answering all our questions and explaining every dish we asked about. While we waited, we enjoyed delicious tostadas and salsa. I ordered a freshly squeezed lemonade, grilled shrimp with black beans, and a side salad—the salad was incredibly fresh, the best I've had! The shrimp was perfectly seasoned and absolutely delightful. My husband ordered tacos that were so good he finished them in no time! Our son had the pozole topped with fresh chopped veggies, and he said it was amazing! The portion sizes were just right. I could go on and on, but if you're still reading this lengthy review, I hope you decide to visit and support this fantastic little restaurant. I genuinely look forward to becoming a regular here, and I hope they maintain their quality. Everything was outstanding—you can truly taste the high-quality, fresh ingredients. Thank you again! Sincerely, The Adame Family (P.S. We can’t wait to go back!) **Vegetarian options:** The salad, rice, and black beans are fantastic! **Parking:** There’s a nice-sized parking lot. **Wheelchair accessibility:** The building is at ground level.
Excellent restaurant and even better service. We almost didn't stop because of the exterior of the restaurant. So glad we came in. The service was better than restaurants that charge $50-100 per person. The food was fresh and well seaso ed. We had mini tacos, fish tacos, and shrimp frito (fried). All great. Highly recommend. 10/10!Kid-friendliness: Great for the family.Parking: Plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space for wheelchair access.
First time visit with my husband today. I had the grilled shrimp tacos, he had the medium sized fried red snapper and we shared a large mixed ceviche and for dessert we also shared a flan de coco. Everything was delicious, seasonings and spices spot on while not overly salted. The ladies attending were also friendly, sweet and quick with everything. So happy we found this place so close to home! We will definitely be returning to try something different each time!
