Mcalister's Deli - San Antonio

Ordered Choose 2 with half salad/half potato. Salad was good, a bit too spinach leafs, but good. Potato was simple, butter . Sour cream. No butter or sour cream in my order. Also ordered half/half tea with lemons. Again, the extras were not in my order. Might need someone to double check order before sending it out the door. to

On my second visit, I arrived 2.5 hours before closing only to find out they had run out of baked potatoes and had no intention of cooking more for the day. This was a strange response, especially since it’s a popular item on their menu, so we decided to leave. My third visit was for takeout. The app wouldn’t let me place an order for pickup at the window, so I had to choose an inside pickup option. When I arrived, my order wasn’t ready. It took a few reminders and an additional 10 minutes past the scheduled time before I finally got my food, which was frustrating since it was during my lunch break and every minute mattered. There were no apologies or any effort to make things right. To top it all off, the music inside the restaurant is a regular radio station filled with ads, which feels extremely unprofessional and distracting. I enjoy McAlister’s Deli, but this location seriously needs to improve its customer service training. Like many other customers have noted, the service is neither friendly nor attentive.

Every single sandwich has been nothing short of perfect. The meat is fresh and flavorful, the veggies are crisp, and the cheese and bread are simply top-notch. At this point, I can't imagine eating a sandwich anywhere else. The atmosphere and the staff are wonderful too! The sides are truly a highlight as well. The Potato Salad, Actually Salad, and the Chips—oh my goodness, they are all so delicious every single time! I will definitely be returning. You've made a fan out of me, McAlister's!

I've visited other McAlister's locations, but this one is best skipped. The floors were dirty and felt sticky underfoot. We couldn't find a clean table to sit at, and the air conditioning was set to full blast, making it uncomfortable to enjoy our food. We ended up taking our sandwiches home, and they were just okay. I have to recommend another McAlister's location instead, as they serve better sandwiches and soups. Sorry, guys!

Everything was fantastic! It turned my awful day around completely!
