I’m kind of surprised that it wasn’t good today, but hopefully this will be a one time occurrence. Overall though this place is amazing!
Went on the weekend, the two employees were rude and did not seem to enjoy their jobs. They were chit chatting and looked annoyed when we came . Cashier looked annoyed when I asked how to pronounce hakaideo( i legitimately didnt know how to and was curious because I work for a global tea distributor, never heard of it) . I ordered a half taro half hakaideo slush and it was over iced with very little flavor. I'm from California and basically grew up drinking milk teas and boba drinks and this was a pure disappointment. Slush is supposed to be icy but this one did not have any flavor at all, did they even add any flavor? Had Chunks of ice. Felt like I was drinking a cup of ice with food coloring. I made my own taro slush from powder I bought on Amazon and It came out 1000 times better. You are better off purchasing a milk tea or slush from any family owned asian restaurant or tealicious cafe where you can actually taste taro in their slush. Good customer service would have improved the experience but that was obviously not the case. Each slush was about $7, so overpriced for a cup of ice. Its probably the most expensive milk tea slush ive bought in san antonio and it didnt even have flavor. My niece and family went shortly after and they didnt even have regular boba, employees were lazy. Never purchasing from here again.
Prices weren't terrible for the amount of food you get. I bet they don't have to be as stingy as some other poke places since they have less overhead costs being in the mall instead of their own building.I was able to swap out items from the signature bowl of my choice. The rice was still warm after driving home about 20 minutes. It's a little hidden from the rest of the food court, but I think it's a nice inclusion to the mall.
Good atmosphere to chill and eat or wait and great portion size (got a light and a regular size, regular might have leftovers, it's generous). Food was ready fast.Unagi bowl and added tamago, there will be texture and it's good! Also got a Thai tea and SA dirt both with boba, it is a little more firm but we loved the texture, it wasn't squishy or slimy like some boba. Definitely would go back.
Poke Yi in Ingram Mall, San Antonio, is a great restaurant with a nice artistic interior that creates a welcoming ambiance for diners. The spaciousness of the restaurant provides ample seating, making it an ideal place to enjoy a meal with family or friends.During my visit, it was my first visit there, i tried the custom poke bowl and bubble tea, which were amazing in taste. I had their regular poke bowl that comes with three proteins. The staff was good and attentive. The quantity of food served was also good, because I couldn't finish it and took it home for my dinner. My all-time favorite thing.Additionally, Poke Yi offers a wide range of options to choose from, making it easy to find something that suits everyone's taste. Whether you're a fan of seafood, vegetarian, or meat dishes, there is something for everyone on the menu.Overall, Poke Yi is a fantastic restaurant with good food, staff, and atmosphere, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to enjoy a tasty meal with friends and family while shopping. One bad thing is, they charge 1 dollar for seaweed salad, and I didn't see anyplace that charges for seaweed salad.
