Ray's Drive Inn - San Antonio

We visited this restaurant for the puffy tacos, and we were not let down. I ordered two beef puffy tacos and one beef fajita puffy taco, accompanied by beans and rice. Everything was delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. Additionally, the prices were quite reasonable! I will definitely be returning.

My mom and I absolutely adored our puffy tacos. The meal was delicious and very reasonably priced! We had seen it featured on David Elders, and it will definitely be our go-to spot from now on when we have family visiting from out of town.

Ray's service was excellent, and the portions were beautifully presented. However, the Mexican food could use more authentic flavor, particularly the refried beans. It would also be nice to have a milder hot sauce option available for the chips. Additionally, more parking would be beneficial. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Our server was very nice, friendly, and attentive. Crispy dogs were very good. Unfortunately, the rice and beans on both our plates were cold. The beef tacos were good.Parking: Original parking is limited, but we parked across the street in a somewhat empty lot.

We came here for the puffy tacos. We liked the beef puffy tacos and the fried oyster plate was good too. We liked that they have variety of food besides latin food and also liked the confy atmosphere. The complementary chips and salsa were a little too spicy for us. The service was friendly and attentive. We should've come here sooner and this place would be our go-to if we were locals.
