Smokey Mo's Bbq - San Antonio

I know people can be snobs about bbq. This place is consistent, clean and friendly. It?s your standard bbq menu. This was my second visit, I got the two meat plate with ribs and brisket, creamed corn and potato salad, banana pudding for dessert. Ribs are delicious. Brisket this time was dry, which was fine though with bbq sauce. I went fairly early, so probably had some older stuff, no biggy I know the drill. Creamed corn was rich and thicccccc. Tater salad was standard, but good. Banana pudding was had later in the day as I was too full. I felt like a small schoolgirl, dancing in the sunflowers as I devoured it like the T. Rex eating that guy off of the toilet in the original Jurassic park. Will go here again. I am excited to try the Sausage. I?ll probably order an entire link unsliced and see if I can eat it in one bite.

First of all, I want to commend the lady who took our order—she was very helpful and kind. However, I was really disappointed with the food. It was lukewarm, and both the quantity and quality were lacking. My spouse and I ordered brisket, and it seemed like we received the end pieces that were leftover. It was quite fatty and, once again, lukewarm. We spent around $44 for this meal and felt let down. We definitely won’t be returning to this restaurant.

I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. It was about 3/10 on a scale of 10. I?ve been to lots of BBQ places and felt like it?s a pretty hard thing to mess up. The amount of bbq sauce mixed was almost making me gag. Normally I?m scraping the meat that falls out and eating it. This was the opposite. I was actually pulling meat off because I couldn?t eat anymore. Nice people. Clean place. Otherwise maybe 2 stars. I won?t be back.

Incredible Thanksgiving meal! The turkey was juicy, and the stuffing was well-seasoned. I especially loved the flavor infusion from the bag used for the turkey! It's clear that they put a lot of thought and effort into their dishes, and we truly appreciate it!

I ordered through Uber and they forgot something from my order. The seasoning across all five of our dishes was lacking. The turkey and sausages were decent, but I won’t be ordering again. There was no garlic, chives, salt, or pepper used at all. You're located in the South—where's the flavor?
