Sonic Drive-in - San Antonio

I have been at this place several times I always pay with the same card. today they told me my card didn't work I asked if they tried the chip, slide it and enter the numbers manually they said yes.i asked if I could leave my phone and my card as security while I went and took some money they said no and they let me eat away from my children and give it back! I called my bank, they said there are no problems, I stopped in a load and my card just worked well! I called the load and they said they only have the sliding card function. we are 2022! how is it that they can not upgrade to chip and push! and how is it that my card has worked there before? this was a complete embarrassing and stressful experience!

Another location lost my order and to make up for it they gave me what I didn’t realize were expired free drink tokens. When I tried to redeem them at this location I had to pay full price for the drinks. The staff was unhelpful and unapologetic. If you have already made a mistake, do not make another careless one in trying to make up for it. Very unimpressed by the accommodations made at this location.

I live closer to the Portanco location but usually come to Marbach because the service is better; however the last 2 times I have had to wait more than 30 minutes to get a milkshake. The car stalls were closed at 10:30pm on a Saturday night( I guess that is a safety precaution) so I had to wait in the drive thru. It's still better than the Potranco location I will make the extra drive (even with the price of gas) to get my late night milkshake!

Today I went to this Sonic location at drive-thru, I ordered 2 Route 44 slushies, they were fast bring my order out. I have to say these slushies were the best I've tasted and I love the Size of the lemon and lime wedges they were cut perfect not so big and not not too thick or too thin. I didn't mind them coming out the door I will return over to this location.

We drop by this location at least once a week between 11pm and 12am after work and we always get great service. The young people that work there are fast, efficient, friendly and very respectful! If you didn’t know that you could tip at sonic, now you know.. I always make sure I have a few on me to tip cause those kids that work there deserve it. They work very hard.
