South Alamode Panini Gelato Company

I stopped by for a quick dessert on a Friday night and found a cozy little spot with about five tables inside, a small seating area, and a tiny table outdoors. Most customers seemed to have opted for just the ice, so the tables cleared out quickly. While they also offer paninis and other small bites, I decided to go for the gelato. I recommend ordering the small size, as the serving is quite generous, and it allows you to choose two flavors. The gelato was incredibly fresh, creamy, and rich, just as a proper gelato should be. This was a delightful surprise, as many places claim to serve gelato but often just serve regular ice. It was a lovely place to enjoy dessert in southtown. The service was quick, and the tables were cleared faster than I expected.

This restaurant is a delightful little taste of Italy right here in San Antonio. The gelato, made in-house, is incredible! The paninis offer delicious aromas and feature ingredients sourced directly from Italy. It's a wonderful way to transport your taste buds to another country without ever leaving the comfort of your own city.

The restaurant has a charming name and a great location, but the atmosphere is not as welcoming as one would hope. Compared to genuine Italians, who are typically warm and generous, the staff here felt a bit unfriendly. They made us feel rushed and unwelcome, particularly with their strict policy of allowing only two tastings. If I'm spending $7 per person, I expect to be able to sample what I'm paying for. I understand that $7 is a reflection of high inflation and prime location, but I would appreciate a better opportunity to experience what they offer. I've visited twice in the past three weeks, and each time I've left feeling dissatisfied with the service. While they do have a delightful blackberry ricotta dish, their amaretto and Mexican vanilla were lacking, at least during my last visit.

Googled dessert with me and this place came up. my first time here at the blue star. I was thrilled by the unique gelato aromen. I had goat cheese, caramel and mandel taste. i the small size is a lot!

Their products are so good! The raspberry sorbet, strawberry lavender, and goat cheese cashew and caramel flavors are all great choices. You can't have it just once.
