Suya Bbq - San Antonio

The staff was super friendly and patient while I made up my mind. It was my first time there and wasn’t sure what to expect. I was NOT disappointed. Great food, good prices, fast service and tasty sangria. I’m in town as a travel nurse but will be back before I leave.

As soon as you get out of the truck, you can smell that oak BBQ smell, the place looks like a BBQ should. Employees were friendly and were happy do describe what they had. Ribs had a cherry glaze that hit it. Best smoked chicken in town. The thigh was kinda small, but tender and well cooked. Coleslaw’s a must with BBQ and theirs is a good one. Their beans finished it off just right, not hard or mushy. They have several kinds of self serve sauce, my friends used with their brisket. One was mustardy and was great with the brisket I sampled. With a cold beer to go with it not a bad price either.

We dove all the way from Boerne to try this place out and left flustered and upset. The BBQ was tasty, but served cold and the only food that was warm was the poultry. I’m sorry but the staff were completely unorganized today and not very friendly. The young man wearing a tan polo shirt at register scolded my husband for picking up order, after his name was called, because he didn’t get to weigh it. So why call his name and have it at the counter? He was very disrespectful and unprofessional. There were many standing around waiting for their order and the counter lady was very confused. I would go back for pickup only and in hopes that our food is warm. The meat was delicious enough for us to eat it cold, so compliments to the chef. Plus we didn’t come into town for nothing.

Great atmosphere, food is delicious, homemade cobbler was off the chart !! Very friendly , clean atmosphere , affordable food and family size portions as well !!

We did a pick up order and the food was fantastic. We ordered the family pack for 6-8 and had leftovers. Portion sizes are a little small for the sides but would definitely visit again. The meat was very tender and very well smoked. The location was a little difficult to get to however it was very kid friendly as it provided a playground and outdoor patio to eat as well.
