Saw this was highly rated. It was delicious. We did take out the place is very small. But some of the best Mexican food I’ve had.
This was our first time to try this place. Had we not been meeting friends, who had been here before, it is not a place we would have tried. It is easy to locate very close to Alamo Ranch Area but be careful turning off of Culebra into their gravel parking lot as there are some huge potholes. The parking is small. The first thing we noticed was signage on the fence in Spanish only and some graffiti. They have an open dining area with both table and booth seating and for an early lunch it was not crowded but by the time we finished all the tables were taken. This must be a favorite for the locals. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. You can scan the menu at the table or they have disposable ones. The menu items all are in Spanish but do have some English descriptions and they do have a large selection of food choices. Although we were not really sure the exact style of the food as it is not Tex-Mex, which we prefer. We all ordered different items ie. Enchiladas Rojas Nortenas $9) , Taco Bacalao $4), Tostados Siberia, $8) Taco Siberia $4). The enchiladas were a good portion and came with potatoes and salad BUT they were cold. The Bacalao was large fried fillet on open tortilla and topping and very good. The Tostados Siberia was very large and good. The Taco Siberia was lackluster as it was a small amount of shredded chicken, lots of cream sauce and good amount of avocado wrapped in a grease dipped tortilla. Again if you are wanting Tex-Mex, this is not the place BUT if you like this flair of Mexican food you might like it. They give a basket of several mini tostado chips with crackers before the meal. We did notice in the back small play equipment next to a open deck with picnic tables and a tarp overhead cover. Next to that is a mini soccer area.
First visit with a friend. Both had an excellent lunch. This is west coast Mexico seafood that I found excellent. Even took home a shrimp pozole. Had for dinner, good also. Service and cleanliness good also. We will be back.
This restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside but it’s nice inside. Very clean and the food was so fantastic!! Definitely authentic Mexican food. We loved it! We plan to go back during our stay this week!!
