Thai Topaz - San Antonio

Thai Lopez, Owner Dave, Somjira, their son and the staff were amazing. They were really busy and still the service and food were excellent. As a family run business owner I know at times it takes a family to step up and pitch in and this family did just that. Their staff was just as impressive. The food was also just as amazing. It was fresh, seasoned very well, and the flavors were incredible. My friends and family shared most of our dishes. I had the Yellow Chicken Curry with level three heat. I like spice and I love curry dishes. The best Yellow Curry Chicken I have ever had. I hope my Korean sister-in-law does not read this review lol. My wife had the Pad Thai Noodles. Pad Thai Noodles has never excited me. I still always sneak a taste and WOW! I love Thai Topaz Pad Thai. I couldn’t keep my fork out of my wife’s plate of Pad Thai. It was just that good. The appetizers were just as good and I was very impressed how fresh the ingredients are. This is not your typical Thai restaurant. This is an elevated Thai food experience at a reasonable price with great service. Great Job! I am hooked!

Absolutely fantastic dining experience! This is the best Thai restaurant I have tried in San Antonio area and I have tried about 20 different Thai restaurants in San Antonio. I ordered the shrimp Pad Thai and it was simply the best I have ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Such great vegan options!! We had the rangoons, summer roll, mushroom bulgogi, and pad Thai tofu. 10/10 will be back again! Ask for Zoe!

I had a free meal for my birthday so my daughter took me for dinner. It was our first time to have dine in. Our server was the only one there except a manager (I think). She had a large dinner party in the other room so she warned us that things could be slow but she would definitely take good care of us. We had some drinks and appetizer and entrees. All very good! Yes, we were patient with the slower service but honestly it wasn't too slow and we were enjoying our evening so we didn't care anyway. She was a fabulous server and it seemed the manager was genuinely trying to help take care of the customers. The drinks and food was amazing. We had a wonderful evening for dinner and the service was fantastic. Highly recommend!

The service is impeccable but warm. The food is delish. The best thing, for me? They have a vegan menu that is more than a basic salad AND they are celiac friendly. What drew me to this restaurant, besides word of mouth and excellent reviews, was the story behind the restaurant. The strength, resilience, love of family, and the education of the chefs is what sealed the deal for me. It’s frustrating trying to eat out with food allergies, so when I find a place that makes it not only safe, but easy, I know I’ve found a gem. I’ll recommend this place to everyone I know! Thank you for an amazing experience. I’m bringing my whole family in today!
