Great view of river walk and nice atmosphere to dine. A little pricey but I would still recommend
We took our family down on the Riverwalk. It was located on a quieter side of the river walk which was really nice. We opted to sit outside and it was beautiful! The food was FANTASTIC! The octopus was delicious and the peaches and cream. We ordered a pizza, the Texas Tagalatelle and the Ossobucco. We all enjoyed our food; it came out hot and didn’t have to wait long at all. We splurged for dessert which was also delicious. Our server Herbie was great! Very friendly, attentive and took time to make sure we had a great family dinner. The Manager also stopped by to check on us. We will be back!
We were looking for a modern Italian place on or near the Riverwalk and found Zocca. Unfortunately some loud event was in progress which did diminish our experience. Food was mixed. The tagliatelle with parmesan cream definitely needed more cream. Another cheese would have helped too. The mushroom and sweat pea risotto was great. Both were definitely over-priced, even by Riverwalk standard. What really annoyed us was the $9 so-called artisan rolls. When we asked for some bread, it would have been nice to be told there was an additional charge and what we got was basically 4 dinner rolls. Finally, we had to add ice to our red wines since they were so warm. Too many issues to return again. Good luck.
Maitre d was not welcoming or polite. Took several minutes for the waiter to come to our table even though the restaurant was probably a third full. The menu offers artisan bread yet they did not have it. They served us some old focaccia bread. The risotto was bland. However the mussels were well cooked and had good flavor. The restaurants has received good reviews so our expectations were high. Unfortunately was quite disappointing.
